SCUT-China-S is a vibrant team comprised of 19 talented students from South China University of Technology, located in Guangzhou, Guangdong.
Our diverse and dedicated team is supported by the expertise of two student advisors, a doctoral instructor, and a professor, who guide us through our academic and innovative endeavors.
Led by two exceptional student leaders, our team is organized into six specialized groups, each playing a crucial role in our collaborative efforts for the iGEM competition.

Professor at the School of Biology and Biological Engineering, South China University of Technology, whose research focuses on the needs of resource environment and human health, through strain screening and modification, with an emphasis on the biological manufacturing of several important chemicals. Professor Li has provided suggestions for the overall planning and wet experiment part of our project, which has been of great help to us.
Alexander Tjahjasari
Ph.D candidate at School of Biology and Biological Engineering, South China University of Technology, with a research focus on molecular biology. Responsible for training the wet lab team members in basic experimental operations and guiding the conduct of wet experiments.
