This survey aims to understand the interviewees’ cognition and attitude towards marine ecological environment problems and marine pollution governance. The survey investigated aspects such as the respondents' age, educational background, degree of understanding of marine ecological environment problems, cognition of marine pollution types, support degree for government governance measures, and views on the application of gene editing technology in marine pollution governance. The survey results will help understand the public's attention to marine environmental problems and expectations for governance measures, providing a reference basis for the formulation of future environmental protection policies
