Inspiration

Our inspiration for pursuing education about our microneedle patches is closely related to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Zero Hunger “End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.” We are deeply motivated by this quote from the United Nations and hope that through education, we can encourage more sustainable and secured agriculture via our technology. Thus, we focus our promotion of microneedle patch to engage with the modern situation of farming and agriculture application. As what the surveys that we have sent out suggested, to improve the awareness and acknowledgment education via internet seems as an essential.

Introduction

A current issue in agriculture is the lack of access to up-to-date knowledge and modern farming techniques among farmers, particularly in rural areas. Many farmers struggle to adopt new technologies and practices that could increase crop yields and sustainability due to limited educational resources. This gap in knowledge has motivated us to focus on providing accessible, internet-based education, enabling farmers to learn about innovations like our microneedle patch and other advancements. With the rise in technology use globally, social media's popularity has significantly impacted learning methods. By utilizing online platforms, we aim to empower farmers with the tools and information they need to improve their practices and boost productivity.

Instagram

Why?

We chose Instagram due to its vastly increased users around the world as well as the accessibility for people seemingly is quite easy. Instagram, with over a billion active users worldwide, is a highly accessible social media platform that allows for the easy sharing of images, videos, and infographics. Its user base spans a wide demographic, including younger generations and tech-savvy individuals who are increasingly involved in agricultural innovation. The platform's visual format enables us to share engaging, easy-to-understand content, such as step-by-step guides, demonstrations, and success stories related to our technology. Additionally, Instagram's interactive features—such as stories, polls, and direct messaging—foster engagement and allow us to directly communicate with farmers, researchers, and potential partners. By using Instagram, we can reach a broad audience, promote awareness, and encourage the adoption of our microneedle patch technology in a way that is visually appealing and accessible. Meanwhile, the platform's interactive features allow us for a variety of solutions to contribute towards our content and attractions for people. By sharing useful content and attracting information on synthetic biology, we aim to inspire a new generation of farmers and researchers to adopt and advocate for innovative, antibiotic-free solutions in agriculture.

Eventually, we expect to influence people by serving as a dynamic hub for knowledge exchange, showcasing the capability of synthetic biology in transforming agriculture. Through consistent, well-crafted content, we aim to construct awareness and support for our project, illustrating how microneedle patches can pave the way for a healthier, more sustainable future in farming.
