The prevalence of health issues affects every individual on a global scale. Our team is committed to finding more natural and healthy solutions. In practice, we gather opinions and professional advice from a wide range of different groups so that our programs can connect more closely with the public, which in turn helps to make our programs better and thus have a beneficial impact on the world.

In the process of human practice, we are oriented to provide more solutions to human health needs for natural plant metabolites, reviewed a large number of literature, reports and data, and after brainstorming, we determined the research direction of “efficient synthesis of flavonoids using cucumber epidermal trichome”, and we obtained confirmation about the feasibility of the research in the expert interviews with Prof. Liu and Dr. Sun from the China Agricultural University. During the interview with Prof. Liu and Dr. Sun from China Agricultural University, we obtained the affirmation of the feasibility of the research. Further, we analyzed the stakeholders to fully understand the needs and expectations of each party, so that the project can better balance the interests of multiple parties, and thus become more feasible and sustainable.

In the social research section, we released two questionnaires, “Public Health Awareness and Cucumber Intake in Daily Diet” and “Survey on Public Acceptance of Synthetic Biology Technology to Enhance the Flavonoid Content of Cucumber”, which collected a total of 657+546 valid data feedbacks, conducted interviews with the director of the first-line farmer of the cucumber plantation, Song, as well as the first-line researcher of the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Li, and participated in the Plant Secondary Biology Metabolites Faculty Forum Learning Exchange Meeting, these valuable data and suggestions support our understanding of the feasibility and potential impact of the application of research in society.

The research data feedback, on the one hand, let us understand the public's lack of understanding of synthetic biology, the importance of the health and safety of genetically modified food and the ethical issues related to human beings and nature, in this regard, our team has carried out a series of online and offline popularization and publicity activities to help the public better understand the principles and applications of synthetic biology, we have through the online live lectures, popularization of scientific articles to promote, as well as the off-line Through online live lectures, popularization of scientific articles, and offline community outreach and educational activities, we have positively influenced different groups.

On the other hand, the public's positive demand for healthier natural plant metabolites and the expectation for future types of products containing flavonoid substances reflect the commercial value and prospects of our project, based on which we developed the team's business plan to help us clarify the direction of development.
