Our Journey

We have compiled three lab notebooks that document our experimental progress in detail. The general lab notebook provides an overview of our foundational work, including bacterial transformations, culture preparations, and plasmid extraction. The nisin group's lab notebook focuses on experiments involving Lactococcus lactis, such as preparing competent cells, transformations with the pMG36e plasmid, and subsequent protein analysis using Western blotting. Meanwhile, the H2O2 group's lab notebook records our efforts in testing hydrogen peroxide stress response in Lactococcus lactis, highlighting the growth conditions, electroporations, and H2O2 expression tests. Together, these notebooks capture our systematic approach and the progression of our wet lab experiments.
