Biobricks

This year we submitted various new parts. For the secretion group, we submitted Lpp'OmpA, a membrane protein that can be applied in the surface display. A series of composite parts utilizing Lpp'OmpA had been submitted too. We submitted the adhesion tools set for the adhesion group, including the Escherichia coli surface display tool Neae, the Listeria Adhesion Protein LAP, and the human heat shock protein HSP60. All sequences had been optimized for E. coli. In the Biosafety module, we supplied our experience to the LuxR/LuxI system, LasR/LasI system, and CcdA/CcdB system.

Education

We dedicated ourselves to promoting synthetic biology to the public. This year, we expanded our education range and depth. We attracted students from primary school to college and innovated forms and methods of education, which made education more intriguing.

Integrated Human Practice

This year WHU-China obtained inspiration for the project from the team member. We offered an example of integrated human practice, including project design, background research, experimental design, public evaluation, and future application.
