LCG-Global iGEM Team Project Timeline

LCG-Global iGEM team initiated their project in early 2024, focusing on the development of biosensors for detecting biomarkers such as uric acid, glucose, lactic acid, and tryptophan. Following team formation in late February, foundational training was conducted in April, covering synthetic biology and iGEM competition principles. In May, the team advanced to detailed project design, including plasmid construction. By June, plasmid designs were finalized, and synthesis requests were submitted. The formal experimentation phase began in July, involving plasmid verification and testing of biosensor functionality across several weeks. The team successfully established detection systems for the biomarkers and minimized fluorescence crosstalk. By September and October, data analysis and preparations for the iGEM Jamboree were completed, showcasing the team's progress and innovative contributions to synthetic biology.
