Collaborations
Summary

In this project, we advanced our research through multiple collaborations and exchanges. We participated in the 11th China iGEMer Conference, where we introduced a personalized denim customization solution based on biological enzymes, gaining widespread attention and feedback. At the same time, we worked closely with the Squirrel-CHN team, learning from their expertise in social media promotion and the application of deep learning technology. We also collaborated with experts from BIT to enhance laccase activity, receiving valuable advice on experimental optimization. These collaborations have provided essential support for our project and driven further progress.

Participation in the 11th China iGEMer Conference

Our team sent a representative, Zhang Yuanzhe, to attend the 11th China iGEMer Conference (CCiC). At the conference, we presented our project— a personalized denim customization solution using biological enzymes. The project, with its unique eco-friendly concept and practical application potential, attracted significant interest and attention from other team members. During the discussions, we not only shared the latest developments in the project but also delved into technical details and explored potential collaboration opportunities with other teams, yielding fruitful results.

Collaboration with Squirrel-CHN

During our exchanges, we discovered that the Squirrel-CHN team excelled not only in laboratory research but also in social media promotion. By publishing rich promotional content across multiple platforms, they effectively increased the public visibility of their project, which is something we found worth learning from.

Methodologically, in addition to traditional experimental processes, the Squirrel-CHN team introduced machine deep learning technology to optimize experiment design. This innovative approach benefited us greatly and sparked our interest in this field. In the future, we hope to explore and attempt to integrate deep learning technology into our research, further enhancing project efficiency and outcomes.

Collaboration with BIT

During the progress of the project, we actively sought collaboration with experts in the field of synthetic biology. We were honored to visit BIT, where we shared our research progress and challenges with the experts. Currently, our primary goal is to enhance the activity of laccase to improve its efficiency in practical applications. The experts provided valuable suggestions, pointing out that oxygen in the solution promotes laccase activity and recommended trying a combination of catalase with laccase to further optimize enzyme performance.

Conclusion

Through collaborations with other teams and experts, we have broadened our technical horizons and received crucial experimental advice. Whether in project promotion, technical innovation, or experimental optimization, we have benefited greatly from these collaborations. In the future, we will continue to maintain partnerships with various parties, exploring more innovative approaches to further enhance the efficiency and outcomes of our project.
