As a competing team, we believe that exchanging and learning from other teams is very important. Therefore, after achieving some progress in our project, we actively invited various iGEM teams to engage in mutual learning opportunities.
So far, we have had exchanges with four teams: iGEM CCU_Taiwan, iGEM NTU_Taiwan, iGEM.kcisxiugangtaipei, and nycu_formosa_igem. During these exchanges, we introduced our project and asked numerous questions regarding experimental design and equipment. Each interaction provided us with clearer directions for our efforts and a better understanding of our current progress. Moreover, we were consistently impressed by the rich imagination and creativity of each team.
In addition to our exchanges with various teams, we also participated in Taiwan iGEM held at Lin Kou Kang Chiao International School. At the conference, it felt like being at a competition venue, with many distinguished experts in the audience providing feedback on our project. At our stand, we encountered numerous experts who showed a high level of interest in our project. Our Wet Lab team leader and HP team members exchanged contact information with these experts, looking forward to further in-depth discussions.
After attending TGEM, the experts offered us practical advice, including tips on what to appeal attention to during presentations and how to make our slides more engaging. This experience at TGEM has heightened our anticipation for participating in the Jamboree in Paris.
