This design symbolizes the uterus, one of the primary organs affected by endometriosis. The yellow color represents endometriosis awareness, reflecting the color of the awareness ribbon associated with the condition.

We replaced the letter “a” in ERαSE with the Greek letter "α" as we are using the concept of higher expression of the estrogen receptor α (ERα) in endometrial cells to ensure survival of these cells.
As our project goal is to create a treatment that induces apoptosis of the endometriosis cells and essentially remove them from the body, the word "ERASE" suited the concept very well.
