Contribution

Biobricks

Our team contributed multiple new basic and composite parts to the iGEM Parts Registry. We hope that these parts are helpful to future iGEM teams and the advancement of synthetic biology. Visit this page for further information regarding our biobricks.

Education

The majority of our education efforts have been in our local community. We believe that education should be accessible for all. Due to this, all presentation materials are listed on our Human Practices page. This provides future teams, educators, and even families the ability to use our materials for their own outreach or classes.

3D Print Instructions

To aid in the design of future projects, we have provided instructions on how to 3D print our lamp design, as well as the process of creating it in general. More information may be found on this process here.

Cloning Design Optimization

During the process of designing the two plasmid systems for our S. aureus targeting M13 phage, we adopted several strategies as well as encountered design oversights. We have detailed documentation of our design, as well as the final design, achieved via utilization of the engineering process. More information can be found in our Wet Lab page.

Hardware Design Optimization

Multiple renditions of our hardware design were created to account for a variety of factors. Due to the intended applications of the device, it needed to be inclusive of all body types, disabilities, and easy to be sterilized. This led us to the utilization of the engineering design process to come up with a design that met these standards. Further information on our process can be found on our Dry Lab page.
