Safety Considerations

During our exploration, we made sure to take safety hazards into account as they are vital to the experiment’s and our project’s success.
Here are our countermeasures.

1.We always chose to wear appropriate clothing which is long-sleeved shirts, pants, and closed-toe shoes on the lab days, to protect bodies from exposure to chemicals and hazards.
2.All of the team members were requested to first familiarize our Lab’s safety and emergency protocols, and then wear latex gloves, safety goggles, and lab coats, before their first step in the lab.
3.We didn’t Eat, drink, smoke, or speak loudly in the laboratory environment to minimize distractions and accidents.
4. We always sealed chemical reagents and kept them labeled and stored in safe and appropriate settings.
5.We always turn off the power supply and disconnect it before opening any energized instrument to avoid harm caused by risks such as electrical leakage and to ensure experimental safety.
6. We always reported accidents that happen IMMEDIATELY such as spills, injuries, or emergencies.

All these safety considerations contributed to the success of our lab.
