Raw Materials:
To estimate raw material cost, we estimate the recipes for bioreactors based on the lab protocols.
Since we are implementing a two-stage growth approach, we have two recipes where Table 2 is the
recipe for growth stage and Table 3 is that of lipid production stage. From dry lab results we
assume that every liter of YNB recipe outputs 3 grams of DHA, and we assume the factory outputs 50
tons of DHA per year. Adjusting the recipe for industrial production, we summarize the raw material
cost in Table 4.
