As a longtime mentor to the Cambridge’s iGEM teams, Jarrod has a range of experience, ranging from translating research into the real world from his time helping to spin-out a biotech company to revealing the intricacies of iGEM as a veteran volunteer judge and former team leader. The research group he leads is currently focused on developing protein technologies to support finding new therapeutics.

Chi Ki has strong experiences in both cutting-edge research and innovative business development. Her current research is on pharmaceutical engineering, particularly on the porosity of drug delivery systems. She focuses on understanding the influences of pharmaceutical dosage form design on porosity, and the impact of porosity on drug product performance. In addition, she has considerable research experience in formulation development, particle processing and batteries. Beyond academia, Chi Ki has contributed to various start-up projects which commercialise advanced technologies, such as polymeric heart valves and microstructure analysis techniques.
