CCIC & Petalglow
The 11th China iGEMer Conference (CCiC) kicked off on July 11th in Suzhou. This year, the event brought together 124 teams, with over 700 participants attending in person, making it the largest offline gathering to date. Although our Shenzhen team could not attend in person, we participated through online meetings, sharing our initial project ideas. We also watched other teams' presentations and defenses, which proved to be highly beneficial and insightful for our own project development.
ICG & Petalglow
On August 1st, at the ICG Conference held at the BGI International Conference Center, members of the BGI-Mammoth-South team successfully made their stage debut. With an impressive presentation and engaging content, they won the Session III: Biomanufacturing’s Best Oral Presentation Award, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
X-Challenge & Petalglow
To promote collaboration and communication between research groups involved in synthetic biology, under the guidance of our mentor, we participated in the "2024 X-Challenge Disruptive Innovation Youth Camp" Gallery Walk, hosted by Shenzhen Zero One Academy. During the event, we gained valuable insights into the research directions of synthetic biology-related tracks, engaged in discussions on relevant research ideas, and showcased some of our team's progress on the glowing plant-pet project. We also had in-depth exchanges with participants from previous glowing plant research projects, as well as other attendees interested in the glowing plant-pet concept.
