The Application of RNA Scondary Structure
to Diagnose Gastric
Cancer in
the Early Stage
Gastric cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related death worldwide.
Ras‐GTPase‐activating protein SH3 domain binding protein1 (G3BP1) is the first
RasGAP
SH3
domain binding protein. G3BP1 has been reported to be upregulated in gastric cancer
tissues and strongly associated with the survival rate of the patients suffering
from
gastric cancer. G3BP1 protein could directly regulate the mRNA decay through
interacting
with the highly structure in the 3’-untranslated region (3’UTR). Our project plans
to
create a sensor containing highly structured 3’UTR to monitor the change of G3BP1,
which
may provide a novel method to diagnosis gastric cancer at the earlier stages in the
future.
