Degrading Microplastics with FastPETase
Our wiki was initially planned to run on React, but last-minute technical issues led us to use the default version. The image above shows the React version, where the 3D model of our mascot, PETe, imported from Blender, could rotate and move based on pointer position and page scroll.
About our Team!
Westview iGEM is a high school team with 30 members located in San Diego, California. After seeing the amount of trash on our local beaches, we researched how much PET plastic was in the ocean and decided to conduct a project where we could have an impact both locally and in the world. We organized meetings every week, completed procedures in lab, and created models of our projects while opening up partnerships with labs, other iGEM teams, and mentors!
