A numerical analysis of results reveals that overall, FastPETase and OG PETase have similar structural stability over time, but HotPETase exhibits different patterns in change of structural stability over time and is considerably less stable over time. FastPETase is slightly more stable than OG PETase, but not by a wide margin. FastPETase, compared to the other variations, is the most optimal enzyme as it combines the advantages of OG PETase and HotPETase. FastPETase maintains a similar stability and flexibility as OG PETase with few variations distinguishing the two enzymes. The efficiency of the breakdown of PET plastics within HotPETase is also shared with FastPETase through their similar catalytic triads.
