Success cannot be achieved without good communication and cooperation. This year, we have collaborated with NWU-CHINA-A, SusTech-Med and UM-Macau in various ways, which has allowed us to learn from each other's experiences as a team. This has encouraged us to continue to improve.
We have enjoyed a long-term partnership with NWU-CHINA-A for many years, a relationship we highly value. Thus, we decided to continue and strengthen this partnership in the current year.
On June 16th, we held our first online meeting with NWU-CHINA-A, where we introduced our project content and discussed potential future collaboration opportunities. We established a WeChat group to facilitate our communication.
We aimed to raise public awareness about "Bacterial Prevention" through our project. We were pleased that the NWU-CHINA-A team brought our promotional materials to the University of Oxford, UK, expanding our peripheral.
Collaboration is reciprocal. As NWU-CHINA-A's project focused on rare diseases, we assisted them in promoting their campaign "Stuck Love", spreading their project content and biological knowledge to a wider audience.
We were glad to have another face-to-face communication with the NWU-CHINA-A team at the iGBA Industry-Academia-Research Forum. We further discussed ideas for Human Practices activities, sharing insights and concepts to facilitate our future HP endeavors.
We first met Sustech-Med at The 8th iGEM Southern China Regional Meeting and decided to establish a collaboration after sharing our projects and recognizing our common focus on infectious diseases.
Sustech-Med invited us to their iGBA, providing an opportunity to exchange ideas with other project teams.
Sustech-Med invited us to visit synthetic biology companies in Shenzhen Guangming, offering us insights into industry resources.
On September 18th, we organized a bacterial prevention campaign. Since both our projects involve pathogenic bacteria, we invited Sustech-Med to provide project materials for a comprehensive campaign.
On August 31st, we co-organized a "Biosafety" themed exhibition in Shenzhen Nantou Ancient City with Sustech-Med, successfully promoting knowledge about "mask science".
We met UM-Macau at the iGBA Industry-Academia-Research Forum and have since had multiple meetings, greatly benefiting from these exchanges.
We attended the iGBA Industry-Academia-Research Forum from August 1st to 3rd, discussing SDG-related content with UM-Macau.
On September 7th, we participated in the 2024 iG20 SDG Meetup, sharing and exchanging ideas around the SDG aspects.
We were honored to attend The 11th China Conference iGEMer Community SynBio Nexus (CCiC). That is a great party for iGEMers in China, hosted by Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. We had a great time interacting with different iGEM teams. Also we were fortunate to meet with NWU-CHINA-A and Sustech-Med teams to share their insights.
