Hello! My name is Max, and I am honored to serve as the team leader for our iGEM team. As an 11th-grade student, synthetic biology has always been a particular field that captivated my interest. I’m deeply passionate about what I do, and my enthusiasm for biology has driven me to participate in multiple research projects, allowing me to explore and contribute to innovative solutions. As the leader of my team, I strive to inspire my team members with the dedication that I bring to every project. I believe that our collective efforts can make a significant impact. Outside of my scientific pursuits, I enjoy playing sports, particularly tennis, which helps me stay active and focused. I also take pride in my academic achievements, constantly striving for excellence in all areas of my education. I am thrilled to share what we have accomplished in this project. TAO, LIYIYANG

Hello, my name is Liyiyang Tao. Biology is one of my favorite courses. One of the reasons is that I've got good grades for my biology tests. I got a decent grade on my AP Biology and my school biology cource. I have attended HOSA biology compitition and got into national round. However, I had never worked in a lab, yet I learned all the knowledge from textbooks. This chance of participating in iGEM gave me the chance to try something new. More than being good at biology, I am also an expert on sports. I am the student leader of our school’s badminton club, and I am the best badminton player in our school. However, our school doesn’t allow us to do archery. If not, I would hold an archery club.

My Chinese name is Li Yufei, my English name is Alyssa. I'm from Jinan, a city in Shandong. I'm a high school senior student in Shandong Experimental High School. I'm a beginner of biology and chemistry study. I prefer reading in my free time. I hope I can learn more science knowledge during this project. In this iGEM team, I gained a lot and met many different skillful teammates. Best wishes we can get a great result at the end of this work.

I'm Xuesong Lu, Louie. I am from Team FAST of iGEM, I came from DAIS in Dalian. I like to play badminton and do long run. I choose to join this competition because I am interested in biology, like focusing on arthropods. Plus, I think we can get great awards in this competition.

DONG, YUNCONG

Hi, My name is Yuncong Dong. I am a Grade 11 student. It's an honor to be part of the IGEM "FAST" team, as it provides me with a great opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of biological experiments, acquire laboratory skills and ideas for designing experiments, and learn how to work closely with my teammates. This experience has sparked even greater curiosity in synthetic biology within me and has helped develop important qualities such as care, patience, and perseverance.

ZHOU, SIYUAN

I'm Ivy Zhou, and I'm in grade 12 now. Before that, I had a scientific research experience at the Beijing Institute of Life Sciences. It was focused on Parkinson’s brain science research. During this project, my partner and I completed the graduation defense and wrote relevant academic papers. This experience provided me with valuable basic experimental skills and strengthened my determination to study biology at a deeper level. In the future, I aim to gain more experimental experience and knowledge through this competition to prepare for future university-level research work.

I'm from Wuhan and I'm 17 years old. I studied in ISA Wuhan. It was my first competition experience and I learned a lot from it. This time, I am a member of the dry team, I chose it because I have strong communication skills.Thanks!

Hello, my name is Ivy hu. I am the preparatory leader of our group. Also, I have 200+ wet experiment experience, and have produced a paper. I won awards on the most valuable competitions in biology - USABO and BBO when I was grade 11.

Hii, I'm Shirley, a G12 student from Guangzhou of the team FAST, and my research interests include economics and finance, which is why I am primarily responsible for managing social media and writing educational content within the team. I hope that I can get higher achievements in the future!

Hi! I’m Laura Li, a G11 student from Shanghai North Cross School, and a member of the team FAST. I'm a big fan of biology, so I love reading different documentaries and performing experiments in the lab. I feel very proud to have designed and made our team's logo. Hi guys, my name is MeiZheng Wu who is now in grade 12, and I'm sixteen years old. In the future, I have a desire to enter a famous university. To be honest,I have several hobbies, like playing basketball and doing the extreme sports, just to name a few. By the way, I learned a lot from my teacher, so that I could achieve numerous scholarship and certificates. Besides that, I like watching action drama, because I think it has tons of unexpected plot twists and witty remarks.

Hello everyone, my name is Yin Lixuan. I have a wide range of interests, enjoying reading various books across multiple disciplines, both in the sciences and the humanities. I am skilled at playing the piano and can swim well. I also have some experience with the flute and guzheng. Additionally, I love drawing and am passionate about challenging tasks that require the integration of multiple skills, particularly those that involve dealing with complex and rapidly changing situations.I can program, row, and drive go-karts, and I’m always eager to try new things. Hello everyone, my name is Yuxin. I am very honored to be a member of the iGEM team and have benefited greatly from it. In this team, I didn't only deepened my understanding of performing biological experiments, but also learned how to work closely with my teammates. My name is Xu Wenbo. I am in grade 12. Playing piano and badminton are my favorites. I study in Shanghai. I am Jin Luming, RA member of Teacher Wang Xiaoming's research group in Molecular Biology Laboratory of Hefei Ansheng School from 2022 to 2025. My research direction is microalgae and synthetic biology. During my tenure as RA, I chaired three academic studies as The first author, one of which was published in The Journal of Emerging Investigators, two in the field of research, and won the IGEM Global Gold Medal as the leader of the wet team.

My name is Yihan Wang. I come from Anhui. My major subject are biology and environment. I like playing basketball and football. I sometimes play some computer games to relax. I believe it's a wonderful way to relieve pressure, and my friends and I often gather together to watch the games. My name is Amberly Xu, and I'm excited to join the team as an advisor. I'm currently a first-year biology major student at UCSB, where I've been diving into various aspects of the biological sciences. My passion for biology began in high school, where I actively participated in club activities and research projects. I'm thrilled to be part of this iGEM team because I participated in iGEM back in 2020 as a high schooler as well, and I believe synthetic biology is a field with immense potential to solve real-world problems creatively. I want to support my advisees in developing their projects and help guide them through the scientific process, from brainstorming ideas to conducting experiments and presenting their findings.
