Renxiu Song ℓ Student Leader
Hi, I'm Renxiu Song, a junior in the Tang Aoqing Honors Program in Science (Chemistry). I’m primarily interested in theoretical and computational chemistry, with a focus on electronic structure theory and protein design. ( https://orcid.org/0009-0007-8676-1183 )
Minghan Liu ℓ Student
In the team, I not only took part in the key experiments, but also actively undertook publicity responsibilities, and successfully held a number of information sessions in the school, which stimulated students' strong interest in synthetic biology. At the same time, I designed the team's poster, which effectively demonstrated our research results and team style. By participating in iGEM competition, I have gained far more knowledge and skills than expected, and more importantly, I learned teamwork and innovative thinking. In the face of challenges, we explored the unknown together, and this experience greatly improved my scientific research literacy and problem-solving ability. For our project, I look forward to further optimizing the performance of the probe in the future, expanding its application fields, such as early cancer diagnosis and precision medicine, and contributing our wisdom and strength to the cause of global health.
Yushan Liu ℓ Student
My work has focused on the human aspects of the project. At the same time, I am primarily accountable for managing the team's publicity media. My aim is to disseminate knowledge regarding tumor treatment and synthetic biology to the general public through my capabilities. Additionally, participating in iGEM provides an opportunity to acquire further expertise by collaborating with larger teams. Moreover, it presents a remarkable chance to witness how synthetic biology can positively impact people's everyday lives.
Jiaying Li ℓ Student
I'm JLU-China's Human Practice Team and Entrepreneurship Team member, an English & finance dual-major student from Jilin University.
My contributions relate mostly to the work in Human Practices and Entrepreneurship. In Human Practices, I set up the general plan for Integrated Human Practices, organized many investigations and educational activities, and participated in plenty of interviews and other communications. In Entrepreneurship, I participated the business plan making and the company set-up preparation, as well as the follow-up business practices.
I signed up for iGEM, because I wanted to challenge myself, explore new worlds and improve my abilities, as well as meet new people from different fields.
Tianye Guo ℓ Student
I am Guo Tianye from the College of Mathematics of Jilin University, in the JLU-China team, I am mainly responsible for the construction of wikis and the sorting of related documents, I hope that through my work, I can bring convenience to everyone. In addition, participating in iGEM has given me a platform to work as a team to complete a big task and gain more expertise, and I hope that through this competition, I can realize the positive significance of synthetic biology to society.
Yilin Sun ℓ Student
I've immersed myself in our project, focusing on Human Practices and Outreach. My role involved editing promotional and interview videos, engaging with the public at offline seminars, and leading the writing of our Integrated Human Practices section. I also contributed to our team's wiki, and fostered collaborations that expanded our project's impact. A highlight was managing our accounts on Tik Tok and bilibili, where I connected with a wider community. Joining iGEM allowed me to merge my humanities background with scientific innovation, creating a dynamic and interdisciplinary experience.
