The BoviTect Team


Introducing Exeter's 2024 iGEM team! We are 12 undergraduate students from a mix of disciplines and have combined our individual skills to bring Bovitect in fruition. Learn more about us and our supervisors below.


Student Members

Anouska Hall

I am a third year student studying Geography. My main role on the team was wiki coding and Integrated Human Practices. My favourite cow breed is the Texas Longhorn.

Rebecca Kilmartin

I am a third year student studying Biological Sciences. My main role on the team was working in the Wet Lab. My favourite cow breed is the Belted Galloway.

Ben Holdstock

I am a Master's student studying Physics. My main role on the team was software development. My favourite cow breed is the Hereford.

Ellin Lee

I am a second year student studying Medical Sciences. My main role on the team was working in the Wet Lab. My favourite cow breed is the Black Angus.

George Lancaster

I am a third year student studying Biological and Medicinal Chemistry. My main role on the team was working in the Wet Lab. My favourite cow breed is the Cachena.

Louise Brown

I am a third year student studying Biochemistry. My main role on the team was working in the Wet Lab. My favourite breed of cattle is the Red Devon.

Nigella Marx

I am a third year student studying Psychology. My main role on the team was wiki coding and graphics. My favourite cow breed is the Braunvieh.

Oli Parker

I am a third year student studying Physics. My main role on the team was Hardware. My favourite cow breed is the Brahman.

Ruby Croxton

I am a second year student studying Medical Sciences. My main role on the team was working in the Wet Lab and integrated human practices. My favourite cow breed is the Highland cow.

Talia Khan

I am a second year student studying Medical Sciences. My main role on the team was Social Media. My favourite cow breed is the Galloway.

Thomas Morris

I am a third year student studying Biochemistry. My main role on the team was working in the Wet Lab. My favourite cow breed is the Jersey cow.

Yara ElMenyawy

I am a second year student studying Biochemistry. My main role on the team was working in the Wet Lab and photography. My favourite cow breed is the Texas Longhorn.

I am the lead iGEM team supervisor and a Lecturer in Biochemistry at the University of Exeter.

I am a Professor of Synthetic Biology at the University of Exeter and host the Exeter iGEM team in my lab.

I am an iGEM team supervisor and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Exeter

Yik Ting

I am an iGEM supervisor and research technician at the Univeristy of Exeter

Keith

I am an iGEM team supervisor and a PhD student in Physics at the University of Exeter
