CUHK SBS iGEM Menu

The iGEM competition is built upon the continuous growth and improvement of the shared repository of genetic parts. By contributing new parts, expanding on existing parts, optimizing experimental protocols etc., iGEM teams play a crucial role in maintenance of the community as well as advancing the field of synthetic biology. Not only does this benefit future iGEM participants, but it also drives scientific progress more broadly, as useful new parts discovered by different teams are added, amended, and refined over time.

This year, our team is proud to have made meaningful contributions to the iGEM community's collective knowledge and resources. In the following sections, we will detail the specific work undertaken.

Parts Contribution

Experimental Contribution

Throughout the course of our experimental work, we have optimized various protocols in order to improve the results obtained. By carefully documenting all of these optimizations, we aim to provide valuable guidance to future iGEM teams.

Additionally, we have selected and compiled the crucial procedures for preparing competent Lactobacillus casei cells, as well as the detailed transformation process. We have organized this information into a comprehensive protocol that we are pleased to share.
