Overview
Contributing to future iGEM teams is important. By adding information to existing parts and providing suggestions and references, future teams can avoid repeating the same mistakes and proceed with their projects more efficiently. Record the functions, usage methods, experimental results, successes, and failures of the parts, and also note improvements and cautions. Suggestions and references should include improvement ideas, new applications, and examples from other projects. Sharing past successes and failures will help the next team learn from these experiences
Contribution to Parts
We have experimented with many parts that have been registered by teams that have competed in igem in the past. This allowed us to confirm that their parts were indeed useful and to explore the possibilities of these parts. In addition, we have registered 8 new parts, which will help future igem teams to further develop their research.Education
We realized that introducing synthetic biology without context would be unacceptable when communicating with people, so we created a unique board game that allows people to learn about the biodiversity that is characteristic of the region, and we used this method to introduce the synthetic biology research we are working on in a playful way.
Holding events where these games were played also promoted community activation.
We summarized the board game in English so that future iGEM teams could take advantage of it if they felt similar concerns.
Please refer to it and create your own board game for your team.
