Shi Wuyou		Hello everyone, I'm Shi Wuyou, and you can feel free to call me by my English name, Emily. Of course, I come from Suzhou, and I'm currently studying in SSFLHS. Speaking of my favorite subjects, they are Math and Biology. In 2023 I joined the Math's competition, Caribou Contests, and was ranked 1st in our school, 39th in China, and top 5% globally. I have done many experiments in biology, such as the structure of the heart (pig's heart), the role of fish fins, the structure of the cow's eye... The corresponding experiment report is also made, and I want to major in the relevant areas in the future. Just as my peers, I have a wide range of hobbies, such as play the French horn and do some Chinese dancing, I’ve learned them for more than 5 years and I'm really proud of myself. Apart from offering me a chance to unwind/ relax, these hobbies have even opened up my mind. I just find it much easier for me to embrace different cultures. I hope that in the future I can continue to do my best in the iGEM and challenge myself with higher standards, and strive for more progress.
Qu Youxuan		Hello, everyone! Nice to meet you all. I am Anna Qu Youxuan from Beijing 101 Middle school International Department. One of my hobbies is diving. I have had predestination with the sea since I was a child. I learned to swim when I was four years old and have been practicing it till now. Every month, I would go to the swimming pool to practice. I got the open-water diver license in Malaysia this year. Every minute underwater was unforgettable for me, and it made me even more amazed at the wonders of nature. Therefore, I am also committed to marine environmental protection. I have a huge amount of enthusiasm and devotion toward biology and chemistry, and considered them to major them in university. I have worked on independent research projects, which have deepened my understanding of life sciences and strengthened my determination to explore the secrets of biology and medicine. I learned a lot from the communication and study with my director, not only how to write scientific academic papers, but more importantly, I realized the significance and essence of scientific research and exploration. During the experiment, there were always errors in my data so that the results could not be shown. I was often upset because I did not have enough professional knowledge. But my director taught me that to do research, I should have a good attitude to face setbacks and constantly learn from mistakes. What’s more, I’m good at planning works and organized them, which can help me make my goal clearer and make my life more predictable. I believe I can deal with the team assignments well.
Chai Zhihan		My name's Kevin as a grade 8 student, I've learning in Shanghai Vanke Bilingual school in the past two years. I have a wide range of hobbies, outside of school, during my spare time l prefer doing visual art designs like lettering, font designs, sketching and character designs. I have great interest in photography so i tend to take photos to record memorable moments I encounter in daily life. I am also fond of movies and animate I see them as positive ways of stress release. Inside of school, I find all kinds of science related subjects appealing like anatomy, chemistry, biology, paleontology, physics and psychology. I especially enjoy reading theories and investigations focused on theoretical physics and Quantum dynamics. I also actively take parts in biology related engineering projects like any extracurricular activities targeting on creating technologies for medical usages like genetics analysis and edition. In the future I would like to continue focusing on studying science and engineering.
Liu Jinghan		My name is Coco. I come from Xiwai international School, and I am studying in senior Two now. My hobbies are biology, chemistry, physics and reading. My specialty is singing, I think I sing well personally. I want to study biochemistry in the future, but the specific field is not clear at present. I hope to get a good result in next year's iGEM and I will try my best as well.
Chen Kejia		My name is Freya, and I am a grade ten student in Ningbo Foreign Language School. I am a motivated person who loves learning because I can feel happy in the process of absorbing new knowledge which is usually about science and philosophy, and I am also interested in something neat and abstract, such as classical music, theories in various fields, not merely, but as well as something complicated like deconstructing the reasons behind some phenomenon in modern society. I would be inclined to choose majors in STEM’s direction in the future, though I am still not quite sure about the specific one.
He Jiahao		My name is He Jiahao, a student from Ningbo Foreign Language School, and my English name is Johnny. I went to an ordinary high school, so living in an international school is a special experience for me. I like biology, because I want to understand the operation principle of our body, the interaction between the creature and the environment. Therefore, I have exposed to some knowledge of biology competition, and I am passionate about biology and chemistry. My English is not so good, especially my oral English and my listening, sometime, it’s hard for me to speak. That is my self-introduction, thanks.
Wang Lingchuan		My name is Lingchuan, but I go by Ling. I am happy to enroll in this incredible team of dedicated students and instructors. I am studying in the USA, Houston, Texas, at a private school called The Village School. Due to my experience of studying abroad at a young age, I was able to obtain the unique skill of being bilingual and having two mother tongues; with this ability, I will be able to enhance the experience of our team as IGEM is an international competition. I am a dedicated person who strives for academic excellence, and in my hobbies, I show consistent results in my studies while participating in extracurricular activities, snowboarding and tennis. I am a certified snowboard instructor and a tennis state champion. The propulsion for me to participate in this competition is mainly related to what I want to major in college: pharmaceutical chemistry. The cooperation of our students and instructors will lead to excellent results and enhance my college application.
Yang Zhuoer		Hi! I’m Zhuoer Yang(Zoe ). I’m 16 years old and studying at Suzhou Science & Technology Town Foreign Language School. I have a variety of hobbies like swimming, playing badminton and playing the piano but I put the most effort in studying Biology. I’m very keen on studying Biology and medical knowledge. I watched some first aid documentaries and learned about crisps-cas9 and car-t. What’s more I have good social and planning skills and I have enough patience. Besides, Tu Youyou is my idol I admire her scientific spirit of never giving up and never being discouraged. I hope I‘ll do a good job in IGEM by learning her scientific spirit.
Zhang Shenrui		I’m Shenrui Zhang. I’m 16 years old now. I like to develop software by myself in my free time. I already have some work that can solve many problems in our daily life. Such as remembering words. I also like to watch some anime series. But I think the amount I watched is lower than many of my classmates. This year I came to join this IGEM group. I think my hobby can help to build the website for our team. I also like to take part in other aspects of work.
Han Yuliang		I'm Han Yuliang from Wuhan Yingzhong Senior High School. I love reading, especially literary books. I also like traditional Chinese culture. I’ve learned martial arts in Wudang since my childhood. Chinese kung Fu helps me strengthen my body and challenge myself. Besides, at the age of four, I began to learn calligraphy from Xu Beny, a famous calligrapher. I persisted for 12 years regardless of cold and heat. The traditional Chinese culture of movement and stillness is perfectly integrated into me. This is me, a little bird with gradually growing wings, improving well happily. I hope the roc spread its wings and rise steeply one day!
Hua Zihan		I’m from Beijing and I’m fascinated with the intersection of health science and biotechnology. As a high school student, I have a dream of changing the world using knowledge I’ve learned in biology classes. When I learned about the boundless possibilities of synthetic biology, I joined the team and I hope that by working with my teammates, we could play a part in easing people's suffering from disease.
Jiang Jiayan		Hello, everyone! My name is Jiayan Jiang, a senior high school student from Hangzhou, China. I am a slow learner and always have a lot of questions. But whenever I really understand something I am interested in, I will feel very satisfied and amazing , there is a sense of wonder, so the feeling. Of all the subjects, my favorite is Biology, and I can't imagine that such small and precise changes and reactions can take place in every cell all the time. There are genes that can change or even create a living thing, and I instantly feel like I'm God! I really hope to continue studying Biology. I think I've found my true passion. Thank you iGEM for providing a platform for me.
Ma Jiayi		Hello everyone, my name is Ma Jiayi, a student currently in Grade 12. In my free time, I enjoy reading poetry and listening to music. In school, my subjects of interest are Biology, Chemistry, and Literature. I gained knowledge in these fields through AP courses and apply it to various projects, such as the iGEM project. It may be rare for a student majoring in Biology to be especially attracted to literature, but in fact, I have enjoyed reading and analyzing literature since I was in primary school. In the future, I hope to combine my knowledge in Biology and Literature to make a change in the world.

Wang Yun		Yun Wang, female, Laboratory Technician, Analytical Testing Center, School of Medicine, Shanghai University. Mainly engaged in analyzing and regulating biosynthetic pathways of active components in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), has published 16 scientific papers, including 8 SCI papers as the first author (including co-first author) and co-corresponding author.
Han Penghao		Advisor, teaching molecular-related experiments by using virtual laboratory, helping students gain experience.
