Introduction to COALES Parts

As part of our iGEM project, we have designed and characterized a set of biological parts that contribute to the core functions of our drug delivery system. Each part is a carefully engineered segment of DNA that performs specific roles, such as specific binding with the cancer cell, escaping endosomal degradation, or release of drug at a certain pH range. These parts are designed to be modular, following the BioBrick standard, allowing them to be easily assembled and integrated into different biological systems.

Our collection includes foundational elements like protein domains and linkers as well as more complex composite parts that combine multiple functions. We aim to ensure that each part is not only functional but also thoroughly characterized, providing valuable tools for future iGEM teams and researchers in the synthetic biology community.
