Prof. Dr. Gil Westmeyer

Professor Westmeyer, based both at TUM and Helmholtz Center Munich, focuses on engineering molecular sensors and actuators for imaging and controlling cellular processes across entire organisms. His work combines synthetic biology and nanotechnology to advance tissue engineering and cell therapies, with applications in neurobehavioral and organoid research.
