Hi!I’m Xinyue Lu,a senior from High School Affiliated to Fudan University. I have had a strong interest in biology since childhood. Since I entered high school, I have participated in China National Biology Olympiad, which allowed me to learn a lot of biological knowledge, including classical biological theories and current cutting-edge biotechnology, from which I have realized how thoroughly the subject of biology is a perspective of understanding the world,through the process of summing up the macro phenomena to the micro changes in several molecules. Since I took part in iGEM, through the intensive experiments and various dry lab practices,I have once again had the opportunity to explore more deeply in this magical field of biology and also the integration of biology and society in many disciplines. Hope our project can bring what biology can do to this society. Thank you so much to all my supportive teammates and thank iGEM again for giving us a valuable chance to put our ideas into practice.

Hey everyone, I’m Aimi Ma from Shanghai, China. I am extremely honored to be a member of the FDfzSH iGEM team. As an 11th grader in Fudan International School of class 2026, my hobbies include and are not limited to tennis, guitar, flamenco, piano, debate, watching TV series, gastronomy, and reading. At school, I’m an enthusiastic student who participates in various activities, including being an SGA member (Student Government Association), a Girl Up organization member, and one of the baking club leaders. In our team, I mainly participate in laboratory experiments due to my extreme passion for the biological sciences. I am also responsible for interviewing renowned professors and educating youngsters. I learned a lot and, more than ever, cherish the working time with my team members. We will all try to break our limits and invent something truly mind-breaking. Hi, I'm Zhaorun Hu, a 10th grader from Fudan International School. You can call me Ellen. My hobbies and academic interests include psychology, biology, playing piano, and drawing. In this IGEM project, I mainly did the art design and experiment in the project. IGEM is a great opportunity to explore more aspects of biology, one academic orientation I'm considering in my college application. I also learned a lot about synthetic biology while participating in IGEM, and I am glad I could complete an experiment with my teammates for the first time.

Hello everyone, I am Wang Ruiyang from the High School Affiliated to Fudan University. I am currently in the 10th grade. I have a wide range of interests, including playing basketball, calligraphy, chemistry, and biology. I have won numerous municipal and district-level awards for calligraphy. While participating in the iGEM training camp, I was also preparing for the Shanghai High School Chemistry League Competition. During the iGEM training camp, I was primarily responsible for wet lab experiments and writing the business plan for the dry team. I became familiar with many laboratory instruments and their usage, as well as knowledge related to synthetic biology. In the process of writing the business plan, I learned about various business models, such as the SWOT model.

Hi, I’m Yingxuan Li, a 12th grader from High School Affiliated to Fudan University. I enjoy sleeping, swimming, playing the piano and the drums, and watching TV series and Japanese anime. Through iGEM competition, I look forward to applying theoretical knowledge gained in books to the real world and developing experiment skills. I mainly participate in wet lab experiments and integrated human practice.

Hello everyone! I’m Lin from Shanghai, though my parents are from Hong Kong and Hangzhou, but I’ve lived in Shanghai for most of my life. I’m very happy to participate in the 2024 iGEM competition as a 9th grader, the youngest in our team. I enjoy biology a lot at school, although we only have combined science, which teaches science as a whole, rather than separating biology, physics, and chemistry. However, because I have not taken a course specifically for biology, a lot of the terms and knowledge used in our project experiments are especially hard. However, that does not stop me from participating in a lot of the dry lab, and some of the wet lab as well!

Hi, I’m Ronnie (Runyu). I am a rising senior at Fudan International School. I’m interested in exploring the molecular interactions within living organisms and how they give rise to the complex systems that constitute life. This has drivenme to pursue a major related to the field of biochemistry and biomedicine in the future. Besides academics, I love to play various kinds of sports. Being part of this iGEM team, I am thrilled that I get the opportunities to explore synthetic biology and utilize these biotechnologies to create impact in the world.

To he honest,though I'm tall,I'm not good at sports at all,therefore,reading alone is my favourite activity.In addition, I also enjoy playing lideo games such as Genshin impact. Thanks to iGEM, I can not only build relationships with the same students like me, but also learn a lot of new knowledge.Besides,the activity improve my ability to communicate and cooperate with others,too.
