Currently, advancements in synthetic biology are often limited by the lack of biosensors.
The goal of this project is to test 10 different molecules with each promoter from the Horizon Promoter Collection as a starting point for biosensor development.
Each molecule-promoter pair was screened to identify which ones produced the highest fluorescence. Then, the top few promoters for each molecule were titrated under increasing concentrations of their respective molecule.
A Deep Learning model was created to predict whether any promoter-molecule pair would produce significant fluorescence in an initial screen.
