Skills, Capabilities, and Stakeholders

Stroke continues to be a primary cause of long-term disability, with existing treatments providing limited recovery options and leaving many patients with substantial neurological impairments. Tackling this pressing unmet need is essential not only for enhancing the quality of life for millions affected by stroke annually, but also for inspiring entrepreneurial efforts to create transformative therapeutic solutions.

Team Expertise and Capabilities

Reneurish requires a strong repertoire of capabilities and skills to make it a reality. Behind Reneurish, based at the University of Barcelona, there is a team formed by 13 people with different backgrounds from Biotechnology and Biomedicine to Computer Engineering and Physics. This diverse mix of disciplines and experiences forms the foundation of our project, allowing us to tackle challenges from various perspectives. Through synthetic biology, Reneurish aims to transform brain recovery in stroke patients, pushing beyond traditional methods to pioneer advanced cell therapies.
