Anxiety is spreading among us high school students. In our quest for relief, we turned to theanine, a compound found in tea leaves.

SHSBNU-China aims to use synthetic biology to genetically edit the E. coli to produce L-theanine, using five enzymes.

In developing hardwares, we hope to facilitate the absorption of the theanine, and to enhance user experience and fun to promote using theanine.

We are commited to emphasize how we impact the world and how the world, in turn, influences our work, bridging the gap between research and its real-world implications.
