About our project

Our project aims to move medical diagnostics forward a big step by creating a sustainable, lab-grown alternative to Factor G, a key component traditionally sourced from endangered horseshoe crabs. By harnessing the power of synthetic biology, we're producing Factor G using engineered E. coli. This innovation protects biodiversity and promotes humane and eco-friendly scientific practices, paving the way for a more sustainable future in healthcare.
